Daniel Arango, Ph.D.

Northwestern University

Dr. Arango graduated with a BS in biology from Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia, and obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology at the Ohio State University (OSU) in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Arango completed postdoctoral training in RNA Biology at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, before moving to Northwestern University as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Arango’s research program investigates the molecular mechanisms by which post-transcriptional modifications of RNA regulate protein synthesis and how this interplay affects cell fate decisions in oncogenic processes.
