Tre Jones

Tre Jones, point guard for the Chicago Bulls, has long been celebrated for his leadership, tenacity, and basketball excellence. Yet behind every assist and clutch play lies a deeply personal inspiration—his mother, Debbie Jones—a resilient breast cancer survivor whose journey profoundly shaped Tre’s values, priorities, and advocacy work.

In 2019, Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer during Tre’s freshman year at Duke. Following her diagnosis and eventual remission later that year, Tre became a vocal advocate for cancer awareness and research, partnering with organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation to shed light on breast cancer’s prevalence and the community it takes to navigate a diagnosis.

Using his platform as a professional basketball player, Tre has dedicated not only his financial resources, but also his time, to connecting with families facing the same challenges his family once endured. Inspired by his mother’s fight and victory over cancer, he brings that same energy and resilience to his philanthropic work, uplifting and empowering those affected by breast cancer.

Tre’s impact extends beyond the court and cancer advocacy—his commitment to service has earned recognition across the NBA, including being named a Community Assist Award finalist, for his leadership, generosity, and positive influence in the communities he serves.
