Eddie Olczyk is a Stanley Cup Champion, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, and lead game analyst for NHL on TNT. Drafted third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1984, Eddie played 16 NHL seasons, appearing in 1,031 games and winning the Stanley Cup with the New York Rangers in 1994.
A respected broadcaster and former NHL head coach, Eddie has been a longtime supporter of Hockey Fights Cancer. In 2017, the cause became personal when he was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. After an eight-month battle, he was declared cancer-free and has continued to use his platform to advocate for cancer awareness, early detection, and hope for those facing the disease. As a Hockey Fights Cancer Champion, Eddie is an advocate for early detection and the importance of looking out for caregivers and caretakers going through the battle alongside their loved one. He often shares his personal story on his platforms and on broadcast and he continues to inspire fans and communities across the hockey world and beyond.
